Molochite

Molochit is a TTRPG Worldbuilding project that focuses on card-based combat.

The world as we know it is changing. A newly discovered resource is revolutionizing energy production and opening entirely new possibilities for the inhabitants of the so-called New World. Without burning oil, coal, or other expensive resources, people here push technical progress to previously unimaginable heights.

An almost magical and endless power runs their machines, lights their houses, and has become the unremovable cornerstone of their society. Even if some people don't approve of the radical use of this mineral, there is no denying that it has helped them make unbelievable progress and improved the quality of life for countless new-world citizens.

But unfortunately, their miracle stone brings not only prosperity and progress but also fear and ruin.

For some time now, black vines have been spreading across the lands and have to be beaten back again and again by rangers. In all areas infested by them, the otherwise green native plants wither gradually and most of the animals flee from their habitat. In this process, these vines and the monsters they bring with them will stop at nothing and no one. Not at cities, villages, or even people.

So while the Rangers wage an almost overwhelming war against the vines behind the scenes, the precious molochite keeps everything running. Most people live simple lives of work and dedication, doing everything for society and progress, no matter the cost. But which further effects the molochite has on humans, nature and society is yet to be seen.
